April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) has made a friendship with Ross Barton (Michael Parr) in Emmerdale.
The teen found herself in the middle of it all Ross’ problem with Jade a few weeks agowhich led to her being held above the same building Donna Windsor fell from.
Donna was April’s mother and also Ross’ girlfriend. After the kidnapping, Ross told April how her mother died, which left her devastated when she met her father. Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) never told her.
In the aftermath, young April has spiraled. She goes against her father’s wishes when it comes to seeing Ross, and even found him a place to live by giving him a key to Tall Trees.

In upcoming episodes, Marlon finds April’s phone and goes through her text messages. To his horror, he realizes it April tried to buy cannabis.
After seeing Ross sneak out of Tall Trees, an angry Marlon pins him against the wall and blames him for April’s rebellious nature.
Desperate, Marlon asks a pensive Ross to end his friendship with April.
A while later, April approaches Ross and tries to open up to him. Unfortunately, Ross remembers Marlon’s words and cruelly shuts down April.
Things get even worse for the teen when she discovers that Marlon was behind Ross’s outburst. A drunken April steals a bottle of wine from the pub and makes a show of herself in front of Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw), Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) And Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson).

April then accidentally spills wine on Donna’s memory card. This is really the last straw for Marlon. He snaps at April and it leaves her more unsettled and alone than ever before.
When Christmas Day arrives, Marlon goes to April’s bedroom after letting her sleep all morning.
But just as he goes inside, the situation changes when Marlon finds April’s room completely empty.
“There’s that moment that I can only imagine, that empty space where she should be on that day of all days,” said actor Mark Charnock.

He added: “There are search parties that are happening almost immediately. Everyone comes together very quickly. It’s one of those good village moments where everyone’s differences are completely put aside.
‘There’s a missing child – let’s all go. Ross goes. There is concern throughout the village as they all know her very well. Everyone knows each other well and it’s so strange.’
