CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Cavaliers’ game against the Utah Jazz started Monday night after a 35-minute delay while one of the basketball hoops and uprights were replaced.

The Cavaliers pulled away in the second half for a 124-113 victory, improving their NBA-best record to 25-4.

The scheduled 7:10 p.m. tip-off was postponed while technicians from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse attempted to level the rim where Utah had warmed up. When this failed, it was decided to replace the entire device.

Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen entertained the sold-out crowd during intermission by attempting half-court back shots with mascot Moondog. The fan favorite zoomed in his third try.

Each NBA team must have at least one complete hoop and upright in storage on the main level of its arena.
