Fortnite’s awesome Dragon Ball skins are back, but there’s one big problem

FortniteThe incredible Dragon Ball skins are finally back after five months, but there’s one big problem if you’re itching to jump off the Battle Bus as your favorite character: you can’t actually buy them.

If you’ve played even a second of Fortnite over the years, you know that the game is absolutely packed. crossovers and collaborations featuring other popular franchises, musicians and athletes. One of these is Dragon Ball, the ultra-popular anime and manga that has followed Goku’s story since 1984.

If you’re like me, Dragon Ball played an incredibly important role in your childhood and beyond, so it’s no surprise that every time skins from the franchise appear in Fortnite’s Item storethe community gets excited. While the skins should be here now, unfortunately we can’t get our hands on them at the moment.

Fortnite’s Item Shop does not show the Dragon Ball skins

That’s because, as noted by FNBRintel and ShiinaBREpic Games made a fatal mistake in preparing the Item Shop for January 1st by… Dragon Ball Skins to the store but forgot to include a section for it.

That means while they’re sitting there, we can’t see them in any way, which means no one can spend the money V-Bucks necessary to access it. It’s kind of like a store getting brand new sneakers on release day, but forgetting to put them on the store floor. We know they’re in the back, but we just can’t buy them.

As for what we expect to get, FNBRintel confirmed that the awesome Goku Black skin will return for the first time since August 2024, alongside the Frieza, Trunks, and Android 17 and 18 skins. There are also several pickaxes, including Frieza’s spaceship staff and the Ki-Scythe.

Unfortunately, there’s no word on when Epic Games will fix the bug and allow us to purchase the skins. The developers are currently on Christmas break and aren’t expected to return until January 6, so we may have to wait a few days until they can add Dragon Ball’s space.
