The second-biggest Steam Next Fest demo so far is like Valorant meets Paper Mario, complete with anime girls

Online shooting games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive AND Brave Challenge anime girls and 2D Paper Mario style graphics in Strinova, a unique competitive game with a new demo that is already dominating the charts this year Next Steam Festival.

Strinova offers a one-of-a-kind shooter experience – players can freely swap their characters between 3D and 2D forms, transforming them from anime-inspired characters that look like they were pulled straight from Genshin Strike with Paper Mario-like characters that resemble themed stickers. This is a feature that the genre has certainly never seen before, but it’s already proving popular considering the fact that the game demo currently dominates.

Thanks to this month’s Steam Next Fest, fans can get a quick look at the multi-dimensional shooter ahead of its upcoming release – and boy is it. Compared to all other demos currently available for download during the period ValveStrinova’s seasonal event boasts thousands of players and is second only to Delta Force. The charts they speak for themselves and I would argue that they point to a surprisingly successful future for free-to-play.
