Twin brothers, 18, are jailed after boy was stabbed during an after-school brawl, while grieving parents open up about how the boy was ‘senselessly robbed of his life’

Teenage twin brothers who “senselessly” stabbed a 16-year-old boy during an after-school fight have been jailed.

Ashraf Habimana, who was not involved in the initial fight, was with friends in a car park in Luton when two groups of teenagers clashed on September 29 at around 7pm.

According to Bedforshire Police, one of the group were twin brothers Athif and Altaf Hussaindeen, both aged 18. Altif was injured in a fight on Runfold Avenue earlier that evening.

The argument escalated to such an extent that several teenagers came to the parking lot armed with knives to confront each other.

CCTV footage captured Althaf Hussaindeen attacking Ashraf, who was then stabbed three times in the back by Althaf’s twin brother, Athif.

Ashraf suffered multiple stab wounds and was tragically pronounced dead shortly after being taken to hospital.
