A pedophile already on the sex offenders’ register has admitted possessing almost 50 indecent images of children.

Anthony Patrick Montgomery, of Edward Street, Lurgan, pleaded guilty to five charges committed in May last year.

Defense lawyer Connor Lunny asked for an adjournment of sentencing to allow reports to be prepared.

Judge Patrick McGurgan granted Montgomery bail and told Craigavon ​​Crown Court he would hear the case on November 21.

Four years ago, the pervert pleaded guilty to 15 offenses related to possessing indecent images of children.

In January last year he was jailed for 12 months – half of which was to be spent in prison – after breaching a sexual offenses prevention order by possessing an indecent image and purchasing a telephone.
