Osher Günsberg has revealed the sad reason his eight-year marriage to his wife Audrey Griffin almost ended.
The former Bachelor Australia host, 50, spoke candidly about the rough patch in his marriage and how he realized his relationship might not ‘survive’.
He explained that he began experiencing chronic pain after undergoing a hip replacement in 2020, which nearly took a fatal toll on his marriage.
“The pain lines are etched into my face,” Osher told Stellar Magazine’s Something To Talk About podcast.
“Audrey said, ‘My parents are coming over this weekend, can you grab the sheets and put them on the bed?’ I said, ‘Yes, okay.’
“But because I have that on my face and I’m dealing with the pain in my body, it comes out with an antagonism that isn’t there, but it is there.”
The Masked Singer host said he couldn’t even tolerate his wife touching him because it caused him so much pain, which put a strain on their relationship.
‘I get intense shooting pains caused by my wife trying to hug me. Shrinking from a hug isn’t good for your relationship, but it hurts,” he said.

“It became pretty clear that my relationship isn’t going to survive this.”
Osher further revealed that he learned to overcome the problem with the help of a psychologist.
He revealed that she taught him how to identify the difference between real pain signals and signals that were amplified.
Osher – who is releasing an SBS documentary titled Osher Günsberg: A World Of Pain – said that while he still experiences pain, it is something he has learned to live with.
“There’s a feeling in my body as I talk to you. Is it discomfort? “If I fixated on it, it would be pain,” he said.
‘But it’s something I don’t have a problem with. I’ve had all the scans, I’ve seen all the doctors, I’m still recovering.
“I still feel uncomfortable right now, but it’s okay because my ability to change my relationship with it is what I’ve really been working on.”
The presenter’s health problems started in his 30s when he developed osteoarthritis, which required a hip replacement.

However, there were complications from the operation which caused his pain to continue to worsen, with his condition and two further operations aging him ‘significantly’.
Osher and Audrey met in 2015 while filming season four of The Bachelor Australia, where Osher worked as a host and Audrey was a stylist and makeup artist.
The couple married in January 2017 in the Hunter Valley in front of 200 guests before welcoming their son Wolfgang in 2019.
