Noida: Two men were arrested on Saturday for allegedly supplying illegal weapons to criminal gangs. Police seized six pistols, 12 magazines, 215 rounds of ammunition and a vehicle with a UP registration plate during the arrests.
The suspects, Rishabh Tyagi from Rabupura and Gaurav Thakur from Farrukhabad, lived in Kasna area. According to police, the two were part of a complex network involved in the distribution of weapons across multiple districts. “They had a delivery system, which used digital payments to avoid detection,” a police spokesman said.
The seized TUV is said to have been used to transport weapons between different districts. The suspects are said to have sourced weapons from multiple locations, expanded their supply chain to other states and conducted operations in neighboring Ghaziabad and Bulandshahr. TNN
