SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A former Lakeland Behavioral Health employee has been sentenced after pleading guilty to having a sexual relationship with an underage patient.
According to online court records, 42-year-old Mark McMannamy of Springfield was sentenced to eight years in prison each on two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. The online documents do not specify whether the sentences are simultaneous or consecutive. McMannamy was also denied probation.

McMannamy pleaded guilty on September 13, 2024 to both counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
He was accused of having a 15-year-old patient send him nude photos of herself and making sexual advances toward her. He was arrested and fired by Lakeland Behavioral Health in January 2024.
