BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WDTV) – That frontal system that crossed us yesterday has moved further east, leaving high pressure to settle in place. However, this system did bring some favorable rainfall, resulting in just over an inch of rain in western parts of NCWV, while less rain fell the further east. Tomorrow another frontal system will pass over the NCWV, this system will remain relatively dry and will only give us a few chances for rain showers, especially in the more mountainous regions. Temperatures throughout the week will start to feel more seasonal, with our highest temperatures on Wednesday only reaching the low to mid 60s in the lowlands and low 50s in the higher elevations. Those high temperatures come just before a third frontal system moves through the area Thursday and Friday morning, bringing cooler temperatures and more favorable rainfall to NCWV.
