Khalistani groups in Canada have threatened new protests against Hindus and Hindu temples. Top intelligence sources said there has been no pressure from Justin Trudeau’s government on these Khalistani groups.
These groups will be protesting the Life Certificate Camps at the Oakville Temple. Khalistani group Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) has announced demonstrations against ‘Life Certificate Camps’, scheduled for November 23 at Vaishno Devi Temple in Oakville and November 30 at Lakshmi Narayan Mandir in Scarborough.
SFJ has said that the protests are against the actions of Indian diplomats. “Indian diplomats are using ‘Life Certificate Camps’ as a cover to gather intelligence and put pressure on the Sikh community in Canada,” says Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.
Intelligence sources have said that this is an ongoing threat and no action has been taken against these groups by any state police. “They threatened both Hindus and Indian diplomats. “The Canadian police themselves are not able to implement statutes where these people cannot do all these things so aggressively against temples and Indian diplomats,” sources said.
Earlier, News18 had reported that the government in Canada was reportedly demanding money from Hindu groups to provide them protection, top intelligence sources said. Sources said Hindu organizations are angry with police in Canada for asking for money.
Peel police reportedly demanded $70,000 to provide protection to Hindu groups, sources said. Canadian Hindu organizations have accused Justin Trudeau’s government of “violating their civil rights.” “We are taxpayers too, why this bias against us? Peel Police, instead of addressing our problems, are putting unnecessary pressure on us,” says the Canadian So Say Hindu groups.
Attacks on Hindu temples have begun on a large scale in the past year, including the shelling at the home of Satish Sharma, president of Lakshmi Narayan Mandir in Surrey. On November 3, protesters carrying Khalistani flags clashed with devotees at a Hindu temple in Brampton. The Laxmi Narayan Mandir in Surrey was attacked the same day.
