In a strong show of unity and resolve, the CPI(M) organized a major rally on Thursday, challenging the CBI’s “delay” in investigating the tragic rape and murder of a doctor from RG Kar Hospital.
During the protest, thousands of members, including the youth and student wings, marched two kilometers from Ultadanga to the CBI office in Salt Lake.
Led by Central Committee member Sujan Chakraborty and State Secretary Md. Salim, the protesters demanded accountability and leveled accusations of a political cover-up between the central and regional governments.
