Gautam Adani is accused of defrauding investors in an alleged bribery scheme

U.S. prosecutors on Wednesday charged Indian tycoon and billionaire Gautam Adani over a bribery scheme in which he allegedly paid hundreds of millions in bribes to Indian officials for solar energy supply contracts and hid payments from investors.
