The number of students considered regular attendees increased nearly 4% over the past year but remains well below pre-pandemic levels, according to the 2023-2024 At-A-Glance School and District Profiles released by the Oregon Department of Education (ODE)Thursday morning.
Students are ‘regular visitors’ if they are present more than 90% of the days they are registered. According to the ODE report, regular attendance for the 2023-2024 school year increased by 3.8% to 65.7%. The most notable increase occurred among primary school students, where the number of regular visitors increased by 6.7%.
