MANASSAS, Va. – A 35-year-old Manassas man has been arrested in connection with an armed burglary and domestic violence incident that occurred at the Sudley Crossing Apartments earlier this month, police said.
David Alejandro Marchorro Guerra was taken into custody by the US Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force in Prince George’s County, Maryland on November 21 after a week-long search. Authorities had issued multiple arrest warrants after the Nov. 13 incident.
According to police, Marchorro Guerra broke into a 35-year-old woman’s apartment in the 10800 block of Gambril Drive by forcing open a locked patio door around 10:50 p.m. Once inside, he allegedly punched the woman in the face while she was armed with a gun. There were minor injuries and the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
Marchorro Guerra now faces charges including burglary while armed, brandishing a firearm, two counts of domestic violence and battery, use of a firearm in the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and criminal damage properties. He is currently being held without bond and a court case is pending.
