Wisconsin quarterback Braedyn Locke looks ahead to the Minnesota game

Badgers quarterback Braedyn Locke spoke to reporters after a 44-25 loss to Nebraska Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.

There is a lot at stake for the The Wisconsin football team Today.

A bowl berth. Paul Bunyan’s axe. And a victory against your biggest rival.

But you wouldn’t know it by the way Wisconsin played Minnesota in the first half — especially Braedyn Locke and the team’s offense.

Simply put, it was a disaster Wisconsin Trails, 14-0.

And the fans who braved the cold at Camp Randall Stadium let the team know with boos, a common theme the past two years.

Before kneeling in the final seconds of the half, the offense punted on all six of its possessions. The Badgers have yet to move into Minnesota territory or appear to engage in any form of offensive combat.

Locke is 5 of 13 passing for 37 yards, averaging 2.8 yards per pass. A number of his passes were deflected on the line and he was dismissed twice, dashing any hopes of attacking moves. The running game is non-existent, with a total of 6 yards.

Minnesota beats the Badgers 202-43. It is the first game this season that the Badgers are winless.

“We have to do something,” head coach Luke Fickell told CBS Sports’ sideline reporter.

Fans on social media didn’t hold back their disdain for the Badgers’ performance.
