King Charles’s infidelity led Princess Diana to ‘spiritual advisers’: author

When Princess Diana found herself in a loveless marriage to former Prince Charles, she desperately turned to the mystical world for advice.

“Over the years, Diana went through a rotating pool of astrologers, healers, numerologists, tarot card readers, clairvoyants, fortune tellers and ‘spiritual advisors,’” Christopher Andersen, author of “The King,” said for Fox News Digital.

“Most… told her what she already knew: that her husband was cheating on her with his former flame,” Andersen noted.

Andersen’s comments came shortly after Vanity Fair mentioned energy healer Simone Simmons’ book “Diana: The Last Word,” which focused on her relationship with the royal.

According to the website, Diana’s calendar “was filled with meetings with fortune tellers, spiritualists, astrologers, energy healers, palmists, tarot readers and dowsers.” “She also engaged in frequent sessions on alternative treatments, including colonic irrigation, reflexology, aromatherapy, acupuncture and hypnotherapy.”

“She dated various people in the late 1980s and early 1990s,” former palace official Sally Bedell Smith told royal author Sally Bedell Smith, as quoted by the publication.

“They were marching back and forth and I don’t know how they got there, but once you get to that scene, it’s a cry for help.”

“Diana was in the thrall of all these crazy psychics,” bodyguard Ken Wharfe also told author Tina Brown.

But Diana had good reason to worry about her husband.

Charles met Camilla Parker Bowles in 1970 through mutual friend Lucia Santa Cruz. According to reports, Charles was immediately smitten. Despite a blossoming romance, Charles joined the Navy in 1971. It should also be noted that Camilla did not meet the royal conditions for marrying the heir to the throne. The couple probably believed they had no future together.

While Charles was serving in the navy, Camilla married Andrew Parker Bowles, the ex-boyfriend of Charles’s younger sister, Princess Anne, in 1973. A devastated Charles reportedly tried to stop Camilla from marrying Parker Bowles, but the pair remained friends.

Author Penny Juror previously stated in her book “The Duchess: The Untold Story” that Charles and Camilla began their affair around 1978 or 1979, and Parker Bowles was allegedly aware of it. As the pair remained close, Charles began courting Lady Diana Spencer in 1980. Charles and Diana married in 1981.

“Diana’s use of fortune tellers, clairvoyants, healers and the like became notorious,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital. “She was reportedly introduced to New Age practices by Sarah Ferguson, who openly said she used them as therapy… We know that while she was able to reach out to others, she felt deeply insecure and unhappy herself. That’s why she relied on healers and the like.

“According to Tina Brown, on the advice of astrologer Felix Lyle, who was connected to her intermediary, James Colthurst, she went ahead with making (her secret story) the film ‘Diana: Her True Story,’” Fitzwilliams said. “It was an explosive action that began the devastating part of the war in Wales.”

“When her marriage broke down, she used a variety of holistic practices to support her… Those who treated Diana often made a lot of money from their client,” Fitzwilliams added.

Diana was quoted as telling astrologer Penny Thornton, “I just wanted to see if there was light at the end of the tunnel.”

Camilla and Andrew Parker Bowles divorced in 1995. Shortly after Charles gave an explosive TV interview in which he admitted his relationship with Camilla.

In 1995, Diana, who was already separated from her husband, gave an interview to the BBC in which she stated that the marriage had broken down because Charles still loved Camilla. Diana stated that she was devastated when she learned in 1986 – five years after their wedding – that Charles had renewed his relationship with Camilla. She said she was so depressed that she intentionally hurt herself while desperate for help.

“There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded,” said the princess.

A year later, Charles and Diana divorced.

Diana continued to rely on her spiritual advisors. Vanity Fair reported that Diana “believed strongly in an afterlife” and made contact with the spirit of her grandmother, Countess Cynthia Spencer, who she believed was watching over her from the spirit world. According to the website, Diana also believed that in a previous life she was a nun and “an ancient Christian martyr.” She was afraid to talk about her experiences for fear of being considered “crazy.”

According to the portal, Diana did not only think about her future. She wanted to know what the fate of her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, was. She especially wanted to know about William’s destiny and often asked if he would become king.

Simmons also said she was concerned about Charles’ health, “which has always been a great concern to her.”

But even Simmons believed that “false prophets” were taking advantage of Diana.

“Diana was one of the most insecure people I have ever met,” wrote Simmons, quoted by the website. “This inner pain forced her to seek relief and comfort in a very strange way. There was probably no therapy she hadn’t tried at some point. Some of them brought undoubted benefits. Others were pure quackery. Some of them were downright harmful.”

Andersen told Fox News Digital that Diana later received an ominous warning.

“Shortly before her death, Diana asked her longtime friend and spiritual advisor Rita Rogers to read the text for her then-boyfriend Dodi Fayed,” Andersen explained. “Diana wanted to know what the future held for him. Rogers claimed he was visited by the spirit of Dodi’s deceased mother, Samira, who warned her son not to drive in Paris.

“Rogers said she ‘saw the tunnel, the motorcycles and this incredible sense of speed,’” Andersen said. “Rogers told Diana to warn Dodi, but it didn’t occur to her at the time that Diana might be in the car next to him. “I would have warned her too,” Rogers said, “but I just didn’t see her in the car with him.” Terrible things.”

“Diana did not need any help in the ESP department – she predicted in writing several times that she would probably die in a car accident,” Andersen noted. “She believed it would be a murder staged as an accident.”

Diana died in 1997 as a result of injuries suffered in a car accident. She was 36 years old.

Decades later, her younger son Harry described his own encounter with an otherworldly world. Vanity Fair reported that in his memoir “Spare,” the Duke of Sussex recalls visiting a woman with “spiritual powers.”

“You’re living a life she couldn’t,” the anonymous woman told the 40-year-old about his mother. “You live the life she wanted for you.”

The woman also mentioned Queen Elizabeth’s ornament, which was accidentally broken by her son, Prince Archie.

“Your mother says she had a bit of a laugh at it,” the psychic said.
