Tallahassee man convicted of baseball bat murder in 2020

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man accused of beating a man to death with a baseball bat was sentenced to life in prison last week after a jury found him guilty of second-degree murder.

Rickey Brown, 62, was charged with killing a man at a home on Old Bainbridge Road in October 2020.

Brown was arrested nearly two years after the crime, after court records show his DNA was found under the victim’s fingernails and on a baseball bat left at the scene.

Brown went on trial last week, and court records show that after more than five hours of jury deliberation, he was found guilty of the charges.
