Power rankings lift the Bears into playoff positioning

The Bears have appeared in the eyes of almost every NFL power ranking.

Never mind that they look like the fourth best team in their league on paper, various websites’ rankings have them rocketing up the charts after their third straight victory, after their defense held their twelfth straight opponent to 20 points or less, after their the offense produced five touchdowns in consecutive weeks for the first time since the 1950s.

Caleb Williams used the soft part of the schedule to improve his connections, first with DJ Moore and now with Keenan Allen. Cole Kmet and Rome Odunze play important roles in the passing attack. D’Andre Swift has been one of the best all-around defenders in the league for three weeks.

They are among teams powerful enough to now qualify for the playoffs, which would mean finishing 14th or higher.

Things start to look up as the schedule gets tougher with the match against Jayden Daniels and some surprising Commanders. With the schedule getting tougher, the Bears are even getting a break here as they have a week off to prepare for the game.

Since the Bears won the division title in 2018, it has been difficult to earn respect from analysts and writers.

This is Mike Florio about the hype surrounding Caleb Williams. “First of all, Caleb Williams was overrated. Now he is underrated. In the end, the buzz will be just right,” Florio wrote.
