OXFORD CIRCLE – A terrifying night of violence unfolded for an 18-year-old man in Oxford Circle after an apparent robbery attempt turned into a shooting.
The incident happened around 12:30 Saturday morning in the 1400 block of Benner Street, officials said.
Investigation into the events shows that three men kicked in the back door of the victim’s home from an alley behind the house and entered. Two of the suspects then stepped back into the alley, where the victim was seen.

One of the two suspects in the alley pulled out a gun and shot the victim, hitting him in the stomach, and they fled. The third suspect followed suit and all three were seen heading west in the alley.
The victim was driven to Jeanes Hospital by his mother, where police met them. The victim was then transported to Temple University Hospital for further treatment.
