Tune in for some special conversations with bestselling author Javier Zamora – courtesy of Mentor Public Library – as he shares his story of survival and perseverance, as told in his award-winning memoir “Solito.”
When he was nine years old, Zamora traveled 2,500 miles from his small town in El Salvador to the United States. His story involves dangerous boat trips, desert journeys, betrayal and miraculous kindness, according to a press release.
Zamora’s first online interview will be in Spanish on November 9 at 2 p.m. The second conversation will be in English on November 14 at 4:00 PM. Sign up for these free calls at libraryc.org/mentorpl.
A recording of the programs will be available for viewing afterward, the release said.
