Police light truce/general
PHOENIX – Eight people were injured in an accident in Phoenix, including six pediatricians between the ages of seven and 15.
Two of those children were taken to hospital in critical condition. The remaining six, including two adults, were taken to hospital in stable condition.
The crash took place at the intersection of 39th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.
Phoenix police closed the intersection for the investigation.
Alternate routes to avoid the intersection include 35th Avenue for north-south traffic and Greenway Road for east-west travelers.
The crash happened about 1.5 miles west of Interstate 17.
No time for reopening was set.
