Angry crowds confront the Spanish king during a visit to flood-hit Valenciapublished at 1:48 PM Greenwich Mean Time
King Felipe has just been confronted by an angry crowd in Paiporta, a Valencian town largely affected by the floods, where angry demonstrators shouted ‘murderer’.
One protester shouted: “You arrived four days late.” Heavy rains that started Monday caused floods that destroyed bridges and covered towns with mud, cutting off communities and leaving them without water, food or electricity.
As a reminder, at least 211 people have died in floods that devastated parts of southeastern Spain, and many more are missing.
