The Milwaukee Bucks suffered a lopsided defeat against the New York Knicks on Friday evening, with a final score of 116-94.

Milwaukee continues to struggle to begin its first full season under head coach Doc Rivers, sitting at 2-7 after the loss to New York.

The Knicks jumped out to a 17-6 lead early and didn’t look back, maintaining a 66-47 lead at halftime. New York extended its lead in the second half and sealed the victory.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, shooting 11-21 from the field. Damian Lillard struggled with his jumper, hitting only six of his 15 attempts.

Outside of Lillard and Antetokounmpo, no other member of Milwaukee’s lineup scored more than 10 points.

Fans questioned Rivers’ job security after the loss.

The fact that Doc Rivers continues to allow this to continue is insane….

I said a week ago that Doc Rivers might not make it to Christmas as Bucks HC. Now he really might not make it to Thanksgiving.

Doc Rivers was an absolute disaster for the Bucks. At what point will NBA teams realize this guy just isn’t a good coach!?

I’m still baffled by Doc Rivers’ decision to defend Karl Anthony Towns with Brook Lopez, the prototypical drop coverage center. I’m not going to let this go.

Serious question: how does that work? @DocRivers do you still have a job with that schedule?

For the Knicks, Karl-Anthony Towns recorded his seventh consecutive double-double. He grabbed 11 rebounds and scored 27 points in the first half alone. Towns shot 12-20 from the field and made four 3-pointers.

Since being hired midway through the 2023-24 season, Rivers owns a 19-26 record with Milwaukee.
