The sedan collided with a semi-detached house on the B5061 Holyhead Road Boiler around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, causing significant damage to the corner of the house.
999 calls were made and Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS), West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Mercia Police all attended.
Three fire engines were sent from Telford Central and Wellington stations. Police have closed Holyhead Road from the roundabout with Mossey Green Way and Wombridge Way.
Daniel Watkins described the state of the house when he saw it shortly after the crash: ‘As I walked past I noticed that there were quite a few police cars, ambulances and fire engines where the road was blocked off.
“Up close the condition of the house looked extremely poor as the front door is completely twisted and most likely off its hinges.
“Looking at the brick wall it was a completely different story with a BMW wedged against the side of the house and the bricks all over the car making the house unsafe and visible.”
He extended his “warmest regards” to the homeowners.
Su Jay, who works in a Shell garage near the house, told the Shropshire Star: “I didn’t see anything, I just heard the car driving into the house. The police and ambulance are still there.
“Police have closed Holyhead Road from the island.”
A statement from the SFRS said: “Sedan vehicle involved in collision with residential building which sustained serious damage. Crews have isolated the external gas supply and no further action can be taken by crews until the electricity and internal gas have been isolated to properties by utilities.
“Structural engineer present to conduct inspection.
“All victims were cared for by ambulance service.”
Trio Furnishings, a company based a few hundred yards down Holyhead Road from the house that was hit, posted about the crash on Facebook.
“A serious accident took place at the Shell petrol station in Ketley this morning. We hope everything is fine.
“If you would like to access Trio Furnishings, Farmfoods, Lighthouse Church or Just For Pets today, you can access the retail park from the opposite direction from Holyhead Road.
