Dragon Age: The Veilguard is finally here, ten years after the last entry in the series, and BioWare is celebrating by sharing stats on players’ respective runs. Don’t worry, the developer is concerned with statistics that spoil the story, but the potential saviors of Dragon Age: The Veilguard make some interesting choices.
For starters, 40% of players choose to start the game as a mage, compared to only 30% for the rogue and warrior classes. Could this be concrete proof that mages are absolutely amazing and that all other classes pale in comparison? Maybe, maybe not.
We suspect it also has a lot to do with the way Dragon Age: The Veilguard handles magical combat. This action RPG made us feel like a badass wizard, dealing some serious damage, while still recognizing that we would succumb to some serious sword swings.

Aside from class, BioWare also revealed that humans were the most common character line at 43% and elves at 40%. 11% of the players were Qunari, while a paltry 6% were dwarves. Furthermore, the enemy responsible for the most player deaths was the High Dragon Corius the Ice Steelon.

While we’re glad BioWare left out story stats, we’re a little disappointed they didn’t mention the most romanticized NPC. Looking across the internet, there’s a serious appetite for mage Neve Gallus, but we’d like to see if she was really the most popular choice.
BioWare has promised more reveals, so stay tuned. And if you haven’t played Dragon Age: The Veilguard yet, it’s available now for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
