Kate Middleton makes rare appearance with royal family at festival – NBC New York

Kate Middleton And Prince William pay their respects together.

The Prince and Princess of Wales – who share children Prince George11, Princess Charlotte9, and Prince Louis6 – attended the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in London on November 9 King Charles III.

For the ceremony, which comes two months after Middleton said she did has completed her chemotherapy treatmentshe wore a black jacket with a red poppy pin – a symbol of support for their armed forces and veterans. Her husband of 13 years also arrived for the event honoring the British and Commonwealth Armed Forces in a navy blue suit with a red poppy pin.

The traditions will continue until November 10, when Middleton will take part in the royals’ annual attendance to pay their respects at The Cenotaph war memorial.

Since complete cancer treatmentMiddleton has slowly returned to her public engagements. Last month, the couple paid their respects to the community in southport, uk, after three girls were fatally stabbed and ten seriously injured outside a Taylor Swift-themed dance and yoga event in July.

Despite only recently completing her treatment, Middleton has made previously rare public appearances since sharing her cancer diagnosis in March.

In June she has was present at Trooping the Colour alongside the entire royal family, joined Princess Charlotte and her sister Pippa Middleton bee Wimbledon the next month, and then stepped out with her family for Sunday service in the Scottish village of Crathie in September.

And the Prince of Wales couldn’t help himself about the resilience of the 42-year-old in an unimaginably difficult year.

“I’m so proud of my wife, I’m proud of my father, for dealing with the things they did,” he told reporters during his visit to Cape Town, South Africa on November 7, according to the BBC. “But from a personal family perspective, it was, yes, it was cruel.”

And through the ups and downs, he emphasized that earlier she is healing.

“She’s doing really well,” William, 42, said Sky News November 6. “She’s been great all year, and I know she really wants tonight to be a success.”

King Charles received a unique greeting while he was downstairs. The 75-year-old monarch had a hilarious reaction after an alpaca, dressed in his royal attire, a crown and a bow tie, sneezed on him as he went to say hello.
