Person dies in the fall at UCSD’s Geisel Library

UC San Diego’s Geisel Library has reopened the day after an unidentified person died in a fall from the library’s eighth-floor stairwell on Nov. 6. Triton The campus newspaper reports this.

The fall occurred around 11:35 a.m., police said Tritonand campus police and library staff closed the library and evacuated patrons.

The university said the case did not pose a threat to the campus community.

UCSD’s Counseling and Psychological Services office accepted walk-in appointments in light of the death, the campus newspaper reported.
