The Indianapolis foals come from one big win and a career achievement from sophomore field general, Anthony Richardson. The QB had a great performance against the Jets from New York by his passing stats, hitting 20/30 throws (66.7%) for 272 yards and 1 touchdown pass to Josh Downs. However, Richardson’s duo of rushing touchdowns stole the show, one of which clinched the victory ahead late in the fourth quarter. But the other was a devastating carry from Jets safety Jalen Mills that put Indy up 9-0 early.

This particular second-quarter touchdown scam was justified Good morning football‘S Kyle Brandt Richardson was declared the winner of the Angry Run Sceptor. The award is given to the most nail-biting runs in the NFL that showcase power, speed and all-out destruction. Richardson deserves this recognition as he returns from a two-week veteran benching Joe Flacco. While this was initially thought to be the work of Shane Steichen wanting to win now, it was ultimately for Richardson’s development as a quarterback. While the modest 3-8 jets that followed Richardson’s big performance is still encouraging considering the playoff implications of that game for Indianapolis.
There’s still plenty of football left for Richardson to reclaim the Angry Run Sceptor in the coming weeks. However, the Colts pull the terrifying 9-1 offense Detroit Lions and cannot afford to make mistakes. While Richardson looked great in Week 11, the two fumbles are something to look back on as they prepare for the Lions. If the Colts want to shock the NFL world by beating Dan Campbell’s troops, Richardson will have to play even better than his breakout scene.
