LONDON, November 22. /TASS/. The Ukrainian defense line in the Donbass may collapse sooner than expected, partly as a result of the Ukrainian operation in Russia’s Kursk region, Marina Miron, an expert in war studies at King’s College London, told the Sky News TV channel.
“There is a risk that the front line along the Donbass will collapse. Probably much faster because of this Kursk operation,” she said. Miron pointed out that the Ukrainian bet on the transfer of Russian troops from the Donbass to the Kursk region has not come true, and as a result, the Russian army is actively advancing towards Krasnoarmeysk (Ukrainian name – Pokrovsk) and entering Dzerzhinsk (Toretsk).
“These are very important logistical hubs and defense posts for the Ukrainian armed forces, and their loss will give Russia the advantage to advance to cities like Kramatorsk and Slovyansk,” the expert emphasized.
