Vijayawada: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu would try to resolve the dispute between former legislator JC Prabhakar Reddy and Jammalamadugu BJP MLA Adinarayana Reddy over the transportation of fly ash from the Rayalaseema Thermal Power Plant (RTPP) “amicably”.
Naidu called on the two leaders for talks so as not to embarrass the alliance government on this issue.
Adinarayana Reddy met the CM but Prabhakar Reddy informed the CMO about his “inability to visit due to fever”, official sources said.
According to the sources, the CM was irritated over the damage the fight between the two could cause to the ruling alliance, the TD party and the government.
He wants the two leaders to resolve the dispute amicably and avoid further unrest.
Jammalamadugu MLA Adinarayana Reddy told the media after his talks with Naidu, “The ash (fly ash) coming out of the thermal power plant is free. We use fly ash to provide employment to locals as part of the Prime Minister’s Employment Guarantee Programme. We came and explained these matters to the CM.”
He said, “JC Prabhakar Reddy has written a long letter. Instead, he should have come and explained things to the CM. He argued about worthless fly ash. We told the CM that fly ash can be given to others only after locals collect it.”
“The CM said that the police, revenue and intelligence agencies will get the details and resolve the dispute,” Adinarayana Reddy added.
