Compare Trump and Harris on the issues and you won’t be undecided
It’s hard to believe that on November 5, any of you are still unsure of your selection. You may hear that Donald Trump is a lying, philandering threat to democracy, a Nazi and a fascist.
Or you may hear Vice President Kamala Harris described as a complete idiot who has no insight into the issues, a communist, and the only reason she was nominated was because of her race and gender.
Can we block out the noise? Do you ignore these heinous, defamatory and gross distortions? And convert this vote into an issue-oriented selection?
Here are some of the issues I think are most important in terms of the various candidates.
At high prices:
- Harris claims she will lower prices by curbing corporate greed, prosecuting price meters and implementing price controls.
- Trump will lower the price of gasoline, the leading cause of inflation, by legalizing fracking, opening the Keystone Pipeline and increasing drilling offshore and on federal land
About undocumented immigrants:
- Harris will allow all undocumented immigrants to remain here until their cases are adjudicated.
- Trump will deport them all, starting with the criminals.
About the war between Israel and Hamas:
- Harris wants Israel to immediately end the war in Gaza and negotiate with Hamas.
- Trump (and Israel) want Hamas and Hezbollah destroyed first.
About taxes:
- Harris will increase both corporate and personal taxes.
- Not Trump. He will make his tax cuts permanent.
About abortion:
- Harris is 100% pro-choice.
- Trump wants to leave abortion legislation to the states.
About education:
- Harris thinks Washington, our teachers and their union know what is best for our children.
- Trump wants to dissolve the Department of Education.
Harris is the sitting president and has had four years to solve our big problems. She didn’t.
To me the choice is obvious: it’s Trump/Vance.

Democrats should not fear responsibility
The headline read: “Who has Trump threatened to sue if re-elected?” (p. 6, Nation and World). Vice President Kamala Harris stated in her DC stump speech that she will show up with her to-do list if elected, and that Trump, if elected, will show up with his list of enemies.
Two thoughts to start. First, why are Democrats so afraid of being prosecuted? Fear arises when someone does something wrong. Secondly, Harris speaks of a ‘to do’ list. With her past track record as VP, I would be of the opinion that she shows up with a “to do” list with the only one on it and now has something to cross off.
The House Judicial Committee just released a bombshell report on the FBI and the Hunter Biden laptop. The FBI verified the laptop in late 2019, but spent much of 2020 making about 30 calls to tech companies to prepare them to identify the laptop story as misinformation to address allegations that the Biden family had traded on Joe Biden’s name to make a fortune, to ‘debunk’. of foreign business deals.”
So if Democrats deliberately and knowingly interfered in the 2020 election by misleading and influencing tech companies to reject the laptop, shouldn’t that interference be prosecuted? Or how about the 52 CIA representatives plus Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the infamous letter saying the laptop story was misinformation?
What about those who have refused to honor a subpoena to appear before Congress or provide requested and required information from the oversight committees? What about refusing to obey the Supreme Court’s rulings? Or do we refuse to obey current immigration laws? Why weren’t the more than 30,000 Biden emails released during his vice presidency?
At some point, lawbreakers must be prosecuted. Otherwise chaos will ensue. It’s kind of what we see, isn’t it?
